I work in an amazing school that has a rich legacy of providing a high quality music education, but we have never had an instrumental ensemble. One important component of a successful ensemble is the use of drums. I want to give my students a love for instrumental music so they'll choose to pursue it long after they leave my class. We need drums so we can not only use them in our classroom, but also in our first ever instrumental ensemble. I would be able to use these drums in every single class, meaning this project would impact roughly 700 students. My students are inquisitive, talented, courageous, and I would love nothing more than to provide this opportunity for them.
