My students begin first grade very excited to learn to read, however, some come from very difficult home situations, have learning disabilities, or are English Language learners. These books will help ALL of my students, and that is very exciting! Students in my classroom LOVE to be involved in their learning. This year we need more leveled books to read independently in the classroom and more literacy learning center materials. Students get to choose their own leveled books for their book boxes! The items on my wishlist will help me better conduct small group practice and individual conferencing, which in turn builds my students' confidence as readers!
