My students come from the inner city as well as farm towns. They form a very unique and diverse culture that is all their own. We have kids from every race, religion and culture and we work so hard to let them know that their character and their work ethic are the things that will get them recognized for their accomplishments. Our school is very underfunded and it is hard to come by the "extras" that can help teachers to show students that they are special and appreciated for what they offer. I am so proud of them and want to help them to produce works of writing that they can feel proud of.
