My students come from a variety of backgrounds, and from a variety of socio-economic levels. Our school receives very little state or federal money for any extras. Whether a student is a have or a have-not, none have had the opportunity to use latitude and longitude. However, like most children, I believe that if given the opportunity to explore, they will find using coordinates fun and challenging. I have several students with autism/asbergers, gifted students, under-motivated students, and those who look for new experiences, and need someone to turn them on.
