There have been some incredible benefits to the hybrid model of learning. One of those is the increased differentiation for the students. This just means that students are able to work through the learning materials at different paces, depending on how quickly they grasp concepts. This individualized education also allows more one-on-one support from me, the teacher. A problem that I have encountered with this model is that students do not have equitable access to personal technology, such as headphones. Having a classroom set of headphones that can be easily disinfected between uses will be such a benefit to my students who otherwise don't have access to that resource. Those students would then be able to have their text read to them through their online textbook program, will be able to watch videos that support the direct instruction, and will be able to use them while doing their own research.
