These materials would be a great opportunity for my students. I buy materials (consumables) for activities and challenges, but have never bought anything like K'Nex. K'Nex bring STEM to a whole new level. These materials would allow students to understand how bridges work, to understand the math behind the types of bridges, and to build simple and complex machines that can be found everywhere around them! Once a week, students will come into the classroom, sign out their box of material, and complete a piece of the puzzle. While I was in college, the HONORS College had access to K'Nex in their residential hall lobby. The students LOVED them. Why not bring those types of materials to the K-12 classroom?!
