The kids at my school live in a high poverty area of a college town. Even though the state university is only several miles away from my school, many of the kids have never been to campus. More than 50% of the students at my school receive a free or reduced lunch. Each child walks through the school doors every morning knowing that the incredible, talented, and compassionate staff will keep them safe and loved. The faculty and staff members work long hours to ensure that the kids are given the best effort, materials, and resources.

About my class
