Technology is a staple in modern day life. No matter where you are, someone is on a phone - talking, texting, responding to emails. People have their computers and tablets out. Music is blaring through earbuds and headsets. Cars are installed with blue-tooth for safety. Why not provide these same opportunities for students in the math classroom. With Chromebooks, students can access my website to reach Webquest activities, remediation activities, look up a concept immediately that they do not understand. They can complete virtual lab activities and resource other 3-D materials that are available outside our building walls . They can create Powerpoint presentations and utilize Prezis to present their understanding to their classmates. They can research quickly for class debates. Instead of asking me questions always, they can find the answer on their own. Every year, my students' knowledge of technology increases and the projects they can develop using it are outstanding. They can discover, investigate, collaborate, enhance their understanding and teach one another. My goal is to enhance learning and knowledge through technology! This will allow for a ​small group, individual, and entire class activities. They can be used as supplemental materials when needed.
