I have the privilege of teaching the most amazing first graders who thrive on attention grabbing lessons. My 1st grade class is comprised of 26 students, each with his/her own unique talents and abilities. Our class is comprised of different life experiences and backgrounds, and together we are a community of learners that help and learn from one another. Research has shown that students learn best when they feel connected to their learning, and when their own identities are reflected. Please help me get my students diverse books that will engage them and hopefully spur compassion, understanding, and change! Thank you for visiting our page!
