My students are some of the most tolerant and open minded young adults I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. Being from a community with a high refugee population, my students represent over 20 different countries and enjoy learning and sharing each other's cultures and past experiences. Many of my students have arrived in the United States as teenagers, without ever owning an electronic device and interact with technology solely on school grounds. Trying to prepare every student in my school to be ready for college, career, and citizenship can prove challenging since every student does not have equal access to technology or opportunities to become fluent on various programs that can enhance and enrich content comprehension.
