Do you remember being in school and listening to your teacher read a story and you not being able to see the illustrations from where you were sitting? You tried so hard to move your body forward or to the side, craning your neck to see the vibrant colors or beautiful photography; and inevitably a friend would say "Hey you're too close!" or you would just give up and draw circles on the carpet with your fingers. Now imagine trying to do this spaced six feet away from your classroom teacher or while you are learning at home remotely from your computer. This big book stand will allow me to actively engage learners in literacy experiences by simply giving them the ability to see clearly and intentionally, literature that we are reading together in a big book format during a shared reading or interactive reading experience.
