In the 21st century classroom, students have the opportunity to communicate, collaborate, create, and think critically. This not only creates a love for learning, but allows each child the opportunity to flourish in their own way. In doing this, students are often asked to work alone, in pairs, or in small and large groups to complete different tasks and activities. That means staying in a desk the entire day doesn't foster that learning environment. And think about it, do YOU want to sit in a desk all day? With the option for alternative and flexible seating, students can feel comfortable, while more easily working with others (or alone) and allow their creativity and thinking to flow! As if this weren't excuse enough, to bring flexible seating into the classroom, student's physical and mental health can be helped! Children with attention or sensory disorders can find a place that helps them focus on the task at hand. Balance balls, standing desks, and Wobble cushions promote wellness as well!
