My students are 6th and 7th grade students with a wide range of learning disabilities. I have 14 students in all. They are from inner city homes that are at or below the poverty level. They are in my classroom all day, for all core subjects, but we are in a public school building. Our school district is one of the largest in the state. I will have these same students for 3 years, until they go to high school in 9th grade. Over the past month and I have gotten to know each and every one of them and they are an excellent group that have had life experiences that are hard and painful at times for me to even imagine. I want to give them the world! They all deserve it, I just need some assistance in doing this.
