My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds. We are a neighborhood school with a high level of poverty. While many of my students face difficulties in life, they are incredibly bright and energetic kids. We have a thriving music program at our school despite the fact that many of our basic needs are not funded including sheet music, reeds, and instrument repairs. My students love the performing arts and we have a lot of staff support for our program.
