I am teaching 1st grade this upcoming year for the first time (I previously taught 5th grade). I need to provide a new library, filled with books, for my early readers. They need a variety of books to read every day. These books will help give my students the opportunity to increase their comprehension and fluency. Every student deserves to find books they love to read! A literacy rich environment is important for student's academic development. Students in my classroom have multiple times during the day that they are able to choose and read books. Providing my students with new and high interest books will inspire them to become life-long readers!
