Having a listening center with a CD player and headphones in our classroom will allow students to listen to and engage in fluent reading independently. While listening to stories on a CD, they will see and recognize familiar words from books purchased, and begin connecting letter sounds to print in the text. Daily exposure and practice will build stamina and help these mini scholars to persevere and become great readers! Hearing exemplary models of good reading and holding inviting books in their little hands is just the ticket for this group of Kindergartners! Come be a part of our Scholarly Quest!
