Have you ever had to sit in a meeting or at a work function and all you could think about was how uncomfortable you were and how you really just wanted to get up and move? Were you focused? Were you paying attention? Were you your "best self"? Flexible seating offers students an opportunity to be in charge of their learning, to self-regulate, to recognize how they are feeling and to understand they can do something about it. When using flexible seating students can wobble, rock, bounce, lean or stand, which increases the oxygen flow to their brain, improves core strength and helps students focus on learning instead of feeling dysregulated. By donating to this project, you are helping students tune into their bodies, be aware that their decisions matter, and empowering students to advocate for their needs, increasing academic achievement, improving self-confidence and encouraging perseverance and motivation.
