The reading materials that I am requesting will be used during small group instruction to teach specific skills. These materials will allow my students to have a variety if genres to analyze. They will be able to practice reading skills such as: author's purpose, theme, comparing, inference and, citing text evidence. The materials will also allow my students to have a variety of poetry that they can use to explore. The students will also be able to use the paired passages to compare from fiction to non fiction. Along with using these materials during small group the students will be able to use them during their rotation times.
