My students will be able to take the Scholastic News home and share it with their families after we read and learn about current events in class.Most children do not have access to kid friendly reading materials. Theses newspapers will help them become better informed about the world around them. We will also be able to break up into reading circles to read and discuss amazing literature. My own budget would never allow multiple copies of such wonderful literature. This project provides a range of reading levels and interests. We now will have the necessary materials to hold our own class book clubs.
