Hi! This is my sweet 16th year in education, and I am returning to a classroom role for this next year, after being an instructional coach (helping teachers) for the last three years! I am currently working at Gardiner Middle School in Oregon City School District. Next year, I will be teaching AVID 6, 7, and 8, and a Spanish Language Arts class for our dual-language program. I am very passionate about AVID (advancement via individual determination) and believing that our job, especially at the middle level, should be allowing students opportunities and experiences that will set them up for success regardless of what type of post-secondary journey they choose! I'm passionate in closing the achievement gap, equitable systems that allow space for representation and collaboration, and believe that middle school age is the best!
