I am a First Grade teacher at an inner city school in NY. I taught second grade for 5 years and then was moved to 4th grade. I love the curriculum at this level and taught for 13 years until I was asked to teach first grade. This was an amazing experience to watch children who could not read, start reading! I then moved to pre-K and loved my little 3 and 4 year olds! After the pre-k program was phased out to an agency I moved to Kindergarten, a grade I have taught for the past 8 years! I love my children and watching them grow throughout the school year! This year, amongst a school closing, I was transferred to a different school within my district and back to 1st grade.
