This vibrant fifth-grade classroom is home to a wonderfully diverse group of 21 students, each bringing their own unique cultural backgrounds, perspectives, and talents. The students come from a range of ethnicities, family structures, and economic backgrounds, making the class a rich tapestry of experiences. The winter months have present a challenge. Due to winter weather conditions, the class is stuck indoors for recess, which leads to rising levels of restlessness and a lack of physical activity. This does also impacted their emotional well-being, as the limited movement and fresh air take a toll on their overall mood, focus, and energy levels. To address this, the class needs creative indoor recess activities that promote both physical and emotional well-being. These activities will encourage movement, teamwork, and social connection, while also providing an outlet for stress and energy.
