My school is located in the heart of Metropolitan Phoenix. My students come from a variety of backgrounds. I have refugee students from other countries, students living in apartments with large families, and many of my students come from low-economic households. My goal as a teacher is to give these students experiences that they might not otherwise get. I have a passion for science, and I try to instill that passion in each of my students. Even in an urban environment, there's plenty to be learned about the world around us. I typically have around 30 students in my classroom each year, and I also teach an after school science class with about 15 students.
