My students enjoy working in places throughout the room, including the floor. They like to work collaboratively. They like to be comfortable to sustain reading. Our school is at a 68% poverty rate. Some children do not have the opportunity to sustain reading at home. They want to be comfortable. Reading at a desk is like reading at your dining room table. Help them get a large rug for multiple uses.
