Are you interested in helping instill a lifelong love of reading and a passion for books in young children? Well, I am because my students enter the classroom exploding with motivation and are ready to learn something new everyday. I LOVE this energy! My students are lively and energetic thinkers that enjoy talking about the books they are reading. They are striving to reach a level J by the end of the year and I think that reading and discussing books with others in a relaxed comfortable setting will help students obtain this goal. My students come from diverse backgrounds but are mostly from lower socioeconomic families. Our school has approximately 425 students in grades kindergarten through sixth. The staff is committed to providing all children with learning opportunities that will help students to develop their full potential and pursue excellence in education.
