As an independent workstation, a functional listening center is an important part of our daily routine. All of my students are emerging readers and are not able to read complex stories independently. However, they are able to listen to a story beyond their reading level. New headphones will allow my students to listen to an online story from a variety of content areas - math, social studies, science, and leadership skills. It will give my students a chance to develop their critical thinking skills with a follow-up activity, and develop a sense of independence. As 21st century learners, I want my students to have access to the latest technology and resources to enhance their education. Wireless headphones will minimize distractions without the frustration of tangled wires or poor quality speakers. It will increase their time on task and cultivate their love of learning and reading. It will keep them engaged and make learning fun! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Thank you in advance for helping my students to succeed and develop into the leaders of tomorrow.
