The following is a quote that embodies the needs of our students. "The kids that need the most love will ask for it in the most unloving of ways!!" The students at our school are a diverse population who come to school everyday with barriers to their learning that are difficult to overcome. I have been the school counselor at this building for seven years and I am always looking for ways to impact the social and emotional issues that face our students. These students have extreme difficulty handling their emotions and expressing their feelings which impedes their ability to be able to learn in the classroom. I would like to be able to help them develop the tools and strategies that they will need to be independent, successful adults.
