I have been teaching 2nd grade for 8 years and I love it! I knew at a very young age when I was "playing school" and reading to my stuffed animals that this was the career choice for me. I love working with kids everyday. I try my best to make each day count, and I am always looking for new fun and engaging activities to do in my class with my wonderful students. In my classroom we are a family, and my students know that from day 1. We encourage each other, we laugh, and we have fun. That's what family is all about! I know by creating a family atmosphere in my classroom, it creates a sense of security in my students. If they feel safe, the creative learner in them will come out and amazing things can happen!
