My fifty-five 4th and 5th graders have a variety of background knowledge and experiences. They do have a few things in common: 1) They have the desire to smile, have fun, and be successful. 2) They have limited opportunities to experience the wonders of their natural environment. 3) They are hard workers, with a passion to achieve to their potential. 3) They attend an amazing school that encourages responsibility, motivation, respect, and perseverance. 4) They are determined to pass their CRTs in the spring! My students have excellent attendance because they have a love for learning. They deserve to have access to current and stimulating materials. This access will provide them with the vocabulary, literary skills, and fun they need to keep their love for learning going strong!
