My students come from very diverse backgrounds with a variety of different languages spoken by these students. Over 20% of our students receive free or reduced price lunch services. When my students are entrusted in my care I know it is my responsibility to give them every opportunity possible. I know that this generation of students are technologically savvy and benefit greatly from these experiences. In kindergarten it is imperative for students to learn letter-sound identification in order to ensure success in future grades. Through the use of Kindle Fire's students will have access to a plethora of applications to practice and build upon this skill. This technology will also be used in mathematics for counting and addition skills.
