I teach a positive parenting seminar for parents & their children titled "Raising Highly Capable Kids". To reward attendance and highlight the importance of reading, I want to award a door prize each meeting - a high quality, engaging children's' book! Parents and their students will learn about the 40 Developmental Assets identified by Search Institute which empower children to become healthy, responsible and caring individuals. The students will be meeting simultaneously for a brief lesson that compliments the information their parents are learning. They will have fun while being challenged to help their parents grow them into "Highly Capable Kids".
