My students are very energetic and have a desire to learn. Supplies are not always our friend and I am always providing for them. I would like to get a hardcover class set of 30 of "The Hate You Give" by Angie Thomas($12.19 plus tax each) and a hardcover set of Dear Martin by Nic Stone ($15.11 plus tax each). These books both are compelling novels that tell about life in today's time. We have to ultimately cover the standards of reading, speaking, and writing with citing textual evidence and all that good stuff; so, why not do it with current novels that spark an interest, especially for kids who struggle with reading. These two novels will motivate kids to pick up a book an read!
