The students in a kindergarten classroom are often "sitting" in their first experience in an educational institute. They are there to learn, develop and grow. Kindergarten teachers are often thought of as "ring leaders" or on their "own island", because they are dealing with the youngest group of the school - yet still need to get the curriculum across to them!
Picture it: 26 five-year-old children in a classroom, then their teacher walks in and tells them "sit still, please!" Hilarious right? Then, find out how imperative the early years of education are; how we are finding that putting more money into early childhood education makes a huge difference in the money spent in the prison system in the future.
As kindergarten teachers, we know how important it is to educate our little ones to the best of our abilities. One of the biggest obstacles we have is getting our students to pay attention to what we are teaching them. Wobble chairs have been proven time and time again to instantly help students to struggle with concentrating and/or staying in their seats - and bonus: they help with core strength.
If I could have each of my students sitting in these chairs, I might be one step ahead of the game! I would also be sharing these with the other 4 kindergarten teachers in my hall. It will help us get to work much faster on the important lessons that we work so tirelessly to create for our little ones, therefore greatly increasing the chance that they will thrive to their best potential!
