I teach first grade at a low income public elementary school in California. My students are very young and haven't had much experience in a classroom setting. Many of these students are English Language Learners which makes teaching them the basic state standards even more difficult. At the heart of these innocent children lies an intrinsic desire to observe, trust, and learn new concepts. It is my goal to instill the idea that school is a great place to be, where learning is fun, and meaningful.
