The students in my class are kids who have been found to have behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric needs that are too severe for a general education classroom. Many of my students are in foster care or are being raised by family members other than their parents. My preschool class has 3 and 4 year old students and my kindergarten class is for 5 and 6 year old children. I tend to have mostly boys in my classroom but this year I have a couple of girls also. My school is a very community based campus and all of the teachers on campus are very accepting of my students so we often work with big buddies or other classrooms.
