Active seating can really make all the difference when it comes to focus. Unlike traditionally rigid and restrictive school seating, active seating encourages student movement and incorporates it into the learning process. When learning math and language arts, my students can become stressed causing them to fidget and lose focus. They are uncomfortable and become distracted. More importantly, active seating will provide an alternative way of seating for my students with disabilities. It will help their minds become more alert and focused. While learning math and language arts, these seats will provide comfort which will result in more engaged students.
