Many of our students come from foster homes or a juvenile correction facility. Most struggle with behavioral needs or disabilities that effect how they learn. They often come to our class broken and mistrusting. They enter the classroom unsure and full of self doubt. We want to show them that they are so much brighter then they give themselves credit for. We want to encourage them to challenge themselves and help them succeed in both school and life. Often times just showing the students that the teacher cares and believes in them can help them conquer the self doubt the have inside. Through teamwork, cooperative learning and creative learning strategies our students are becoming more engaged. They are working harder to succeed and are beginning to make progress towards their goals. Our school is here to help guide them towards their goals. We want to help them leave here well on their way to success and a hopeful future.
