Our school has a very welcoming environment, even for young children like the 3- and 4-year olds in my classroom. We have a very diverse group in relation to age range and academic level. Generally, being as young as they are, we have to be sure to implement lots of hands-on, engaging activities all throughout the day. They can be a bit energetic but that energy is what I enjoy the most about my job: their eagerness to learn!
