During this pandemic, keeping students engaged and socially distanced can be quite difficult. Providing each student the opportunity to choose their seating for the day and the opportunity to move around the room while keeping a safe distance allows them to take control and feel some freedom. I want to give my students some power back! There are many hidden benefits behind flexible seating! The opportunity for flexible seating gives my students the power of choice and to take responsibility for their learning. Flexible seating benefits include but are not limited to: differentiated seating, improved behavior, increase student focus, keep them moving and alert, increase oxygen flow to the brain, increase blood flow throughout the body . It also provides each student the opportunity to feel comfortable during this pandemic where they are constantly reminded to wear their mask correctly and to be socially distanced from their classmates and friends. Please help me to provide my students the opportunity to take control of their learning!
