Technology is all around us. We live in an age where computers and tablets help us grow, learn, and entertain. Having these tools are also extremely helpful in the classroom. Most of my 3rd-grade students are English Learners, meaning their second language is English. It is my responsibility to provide as much support as I can by using students home language to learn content. Students who are bilingual benefit from listening to the audio of a text, helping them further understand the content. Students that listen to text as they see the words can improve an otherwise two years gap in comprehension loss. Please help provide us with headphones to improve our technology learning experience. This way, students can focus on individualized instruction in a quiet work area, helping them focus on their activities and tasks.
