With these donations we were able to obtain the supplies and materials we needed to enhance our studies during our Domino Effects unit. During this unit students were working as engineers to create chain reactions. These materials gave them the opportunity to work together and test out their predictions. During these daily activities the students enjoyed creating steep and shallow ramps and testing them out. They also created technical drawings and even wrote how-to stories with illustrations, labels and words. We had so much fun learning through play!\r\nIt was such an exciting day unboxing our materials. The students oooo'd and ahhhh'd! They couldn't wait to get started. These made the learning so much fun!\r\nWe will continue to utilize these materials throughout this school year. Now that the students had the opportunity to learn how to collaborate and share the materials we can set them up as free play and exploration. These materials will also be utilized for many years to come. \r\nThank you again for you support and donations.","fullyFundedDate":1735173221119,"projectUrl":"project/hands-on-fun-while-we-learn/9018836/","projectTitle":"Hands-On Fun While We Learn!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Figueroa","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/272x272/tp1485928_272x272.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1477103692029","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/ivelisse-figueroa"},{"teacherId":2872834,"projectId":8921997,"letterContent":"We absolutely LOVE the sensory materials and other classroom supplies that were funded through this project! \r\n\r\nWe use the playdoh and sensory sand on a daily basis during our center time, so all of our students are exposed to these new and different textures and smells. They have immensely enjoyed this center! The Blockaroo magnetic foam building blocks have served a great purpose in the room: not only do they encourage creativity as kids build towers and ships, but it also helps me teach turn-taking skills to the kids. \r\n\r\nWith that, the sensory chew necklace, gel-bead emotion friends, and sensory floor tiles are all utilized daily with some of our friends who struggle with self-regulation. We use these items as a tool for the students to help themselves calm down, and we have seen great success! Some of our kids even request these items before they become dysregulated. \r\n\r\nFinally, the general classroom materials-- velcro dots, cardstock, paint markers, dry erase pocket sleeves, trays, zipper pouches, and dot stickers have all been used with our daily crafts and projects that we work on. \r\n\r\nThe staff and I are so thankful for your donations!","fullyFundedDate":1731591019002,"projectUrl":"project/a-sensory-sanctuary/8921997/","projectTitle":"A Sensory Sanctuary!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Rosenwinkel","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2872834_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1576087522555","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2872834"},{"teacherId":9449037,"projectId":8729206,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donations to our Library Revitalization project. \r\n\r\nAdopting a new classroom is always difficult, with so much new material to manage to meet the needs of individual students. When I took my new position at Chappell, I was especially eager to update and improve the classroom library. As a Language Arts teacher, I must provide books that will appeal to students at all levels across various genres and styles. Your donations made this possible. \r\n\r\nMy students were excited to see what new books were now available in the classroom library, and many of the books you provided have already been well-read and well-loved!
