My students are second graders that attend elementary school in a rural community in South Carolina. The majority of my students come from middle- to low-income families. Many of them come from single parent families, blended families, or homes where they are being raised by their grandparents. My students are successful and a great group of children who enjoy learning despite their circumstances.
