We need a bright and inviting carpet with big, bold, extra-roomy squares that will give each child their very own space to sit and work on their Montessori works. My Second and Third grade Montessori students use the rug several times throughout the day. The students work with Montessori materials, class manipulatives, and books. The students need a comfortable, inviting space that will allow them room to be organized with their Montessori materials. I also provide whole group, small group, and one on one instruction on the rug. Our current rug is well-worn and the students often complain about not having enough personal space. By donating to our project, it will improve my students' attitudes about learning and give each child their very own space to work. This will improve our classroom environment and the students eagerness to work!
