I have a passion in helping students become competent 21st-century learners by providing students every opportunity to develop their skills in becoming lifelong readers. It is essential for students to be successful readers as they walk into any classroom of any subject, as they use technology to communicate, and as they enter the globally competitive workforce. I strive to create student-centered engaging projects. My comprehensive plan is to make it culturally diverse and academically stimulating to the developmental needs of the total child. Reading can change lives. According to statistics, it is known that 33% of U.S. high school graduates will never read a book after high school. Americans should take ownership in helping our children become lifelong readers. Projects should be fun, relevant, and engaging so students can find their passion for reading. Help me help my students develop their passion for reading.
