My students are a group of 23 young learners who love to read. They are sponges when it comes to learning. My students are at a school that is an Impact School of National Pride. We teach our students patriotism and what is means to be patriotic. In my classroom, most of my students have a parent that is in the United States Marine Corps. Being military dependents, they are faced with the challenges of having a mom or dad deployed for months on end. Activities such as reading can offer a distraction during such difficult times.
