I teach in a unique inclusive preschool classroom. We teach students with special needs along side their non-disabled peers. Half of our class are children from the community, and half have disabilities ranging from speech and language impairments to autism and Down Syndrome, or any of the other federal disability categories. Our program is a half day program, with morning and afternoon sessions. We have a high level of adult support in the classroom to provide the accommodations and modifications necessary for our students with special needs. We teach both to student IEP goals and for kindergarten readiness. I am teaching in a new school this year. Unfortunately, this means that many of the materials that may be available to teachers at more established school are not available at our school yet. Your donation to my projects not only supports my classroom, but 6 sessions of preschool students.
