Welcome to our little classroom, where learning looks a little different—and every small victory is a BIG deal! I teach a wonderful group of early elementary students in an adaptive behavior classroom. My students are curious, energetic, funny, and full of personality. They each have their own unique strengths, needs, and ways of learning, and my goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, successful, and excited to learn. My students learn best when they can touch it, move it, build it, and do it. Hands-on activities and engaging materials help turn challenging skills like reading, writing, math, problem-solving, and communication into something meaningful and fun. We celebrate everything from recognizing a new letter or sound to completing a task independently or using a new strategy to solve a problem. Our classroom may be a little chaotic at times (okay…sometimes A LOT chaotic! 😊), but it is also filled with laughter, growth, perseverance, and love. Every day, my students remind me that progress doesn't have to be big to be important. Your support helps me provide the tools and experiences my students need to learn in ways that work for them. Every donation helps create opportunities for my students to build confidence, become more independent, and discover that “I can't do it yet” can become “I DID IT!”
