"One Day every child in America will attain a quality education." Teach for America's mission statement is one that inspires us to take action to ensure all children have what they need to learn and grow in meaningful ways. It is my job to be the best teacher I can possibly be and meet the needs of my students by making the curriculum accessible to them, no matter where they come from or how far they have yet to go. I teach 4th grade SEI (sheltered English immersion) for students who are learning English for the first time. My class is made up a variety of learning styles, backgrounds and emotional needs. Many students come from immigrant families and are navigating a school system and classroom setting for the first time. By helping contribute to my classroom, you will join me in helping my students succeed and ensure that they feel valued and supported in their educational experiences.
