To give students the feeling of control in a unpredictable world I have created several choice board options for them. These lessons will work at home or while at school. If I have enough art supplies for them we will not have to worry about sharing art supplies during the semester. Students could take these art care packages home with them each day to continue their art at home and fully explore art's therapeutic qualities. The choice boards have a variety of lessons to meet every ones needs and interest. The boards will have both paint and drawing activities which is what my students missed last Spring during distance learning. All my students loved the choice boards last Spring and wanted me to continue them this fall. Some examples of projects include art journal prompts, demos on different materials, self portraits in various artist styles, and even more.
