Many of my students are a part of the first generation in their family to graduate high school. They come to class with gaps in learning and limited access to supplies and technology. We are an AVID school, and we learn AVID strategies in my classroom. My students work on organization, community involvement, college and career readiness, and collaboration skills. Our goal is to create a learning environment that meets the needs of all my students to allow them to explore and collaborate.
